COG LCD Module option is more advantageous than the SMD LCD Module option in the cost,basing

on the material and assembly aspects. COG is no need to place and weld the liquid crystal element

and LCD controller onto the PCB board, which can avoid the cost of the process steps and the 

cost of inspection and verification.

As to the materials and according to the quantity of LCD connectors, SMD requires a considerable

quantities of connectors (power, capacitance, resistance, and so on) between PCB and LCD glass,

But COG only requires to connect power supply and pin interface.
